I Don’t Know

In this era, with Google always at our fingertips, how often do you say, “I don’t know?” How comfortable is it for you to stay in that space of ‘not knowing?’  What about the concept of humility – is that a good thing, a bad thing? Perhaps it depends on the context. Both not knowing and humility could be seen as the opposite of an arrogant ‘I’m always right’ attitude.

During this service, we consider the role of both humility and not knowing in building a Beloved Community based on equity and justice.

Rev. Melora Lynngood (she/her) is co-minister of the First Unitarian Church of Victoria with her wife, Rev. Shana Lynngood.  In addition to co-ministry, they co-parent two children, in grades 5 and 12.
