Nanaimo & Area Land Trust at 30

The challenges and triumphs of ecosystem protection and conservation in the Nanaimo Area.

Since 1995 the Nanaimo & Area Land Trust (NALT) has worked with the community, conservation organizations, and government agencies to fulfil its mission – to support, promote, and protect the natural values of land and water in our area.

NALT executive director, Paul Chapman, will reflect on how environmental conservation practice has changed over the past 30 years and what it may look like in the years to come.

Paul sits on the Board of the Land Trust Alliance of BC and has worked for NALT since 2008, filling many roles.

Paul embraces the collaborative nature of working with the community to build a culture of stewardship along with other conservation organizations and agencies, as well as all levels of government.
