In this talk, I’ll explore some of the factors that limit our ability to face the reality of climate change, talk about some of the work we are doing in the school district, and how we can move past this veiled state of limbo that we seem to be in.
Dr. Jessica Stanley is a mother of three, a farmer, and a School Trustee for Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools. She has a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Simon Fraser University, and has been a life-long advocate for the environment. Stanley is currently chair of the Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability Advisory Committee for the school district, and a member of the Standing Committee on the Environment and Economy for the NDP.
