Many of us hide a part of ourselves from the world. For some it is more dangerous than others. This Thanksgiving, we celebrate the courage of those who fought and won the inner battle to be true to who they were, regardless of the risk. Grateful too for those brave and emboldened actors who refused to be hidden and silenced at pivotal moments is our social history: Stonewall, Operation Soap, Little Sisters and the first Gay Protests in Canada.
