Imagine this caring community in a circle together. The people that shape the circle can face into the centre or they can face toward the outside. We often name those in our circle as the people ‘like us’, and the people outside as the people ‘not like us’.  If we are called by love and justice to aspire to live deeply connected, then we are being asked to draw our circle wider. We are called to understand and to include in our circle those who we have historically kept out.  We may need to forgive ourselves before we can move on. This journey is work and worthy.
