Emma Goldman gave us that memorable quote, “If I can’t dance, it’s not my revolution,” and it has been a thorn in my side for many years, a prickly reminder when I get too earnest or demanding. We struggle sometimes as Unitarian Universalists with finding joy in the midst of the hard work, in the midst of the revolution. This Sunday we’ll explore how our history has sometimes condemned revelry, and how to reclaim its place in the world we seek to build.
