Messy UU Church is Back!

Messy UU Church is back Friday, Feb. 21st, from 5-7:30 pm, at the Unitarian Hall, 595 Townsite Rd. We’ll be making care packages for the shelter and talking about social justice. A vegetarian meal will be served. Everyone welcome!

November Messy Church Will Be Fun For All

One potato, two potato, three potato, four…spuds will be on the menu at this month’s Messy UU Church Friday, Nov. 15th, 5-7:30 pm, at the Unitarian Hall, 595 Townsite Rd. We’ll eat them, play with them, do art with them, and have a story about them. Everyone welcome!

Messy UU October 18

Come join us for our first Messy UU Church of the year, 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm, Friday, Oct. 18th, at the Unitarian Fellowship. 

We’ll dress up, do art, and have a souper supper, plus some very special guests (Hint: One of them is blue and fuzzy.). All welcome!

Save the date for this great get-together! The Children’s Religious Education Committee is having a welcome back barbecue for our fabulous FUFON kids and their families, 5 to 7:30 pm, Friday, Sept. 20th, at Pacific Gardens, 347 Seventh St. Come join us!

Two Benefit Shows for Unitarian Shelter

Mark the evenings of June 8 and June 22 on your calendar for two high entertaining shows taking place  Unitarian Hall. On Saturday June 8th award-winning stand-up comic Ryan Gunther will have the audiences in stitches with his special brand of humour.  Then on Saturday June  22, CBC and Juno performer Willie Thrasher and partner Linda Saddleback grace the stage with songs and stories drawn from his Inuit culture.

The net proceeds of both shows will support the Unitarian Shelter.

Tickets will be available at the door for for minimum donation of $10. Both shows start at 7 pm.


CRE Year-end Barbeque & Potluck

It’s the end of the church year and the Children’s Religious Education Committee is having a barbecue and potluck for our fabulous FUFON kids and their families, 5 to 7:30 pm, Saturday, June 22nd, at Pacific Gardens, 347 Seventh St.  We’ll have a sing-along, a hotdog and marshmallow roast, and of course, lots of fun. Everyone welcome!

Nanaimo Pride Parade – June 9

Come walk with us in the Parade to support Nanaimo Pride on Sunday, June 9th at 12:00.  Assembly is any time prior to 12:00 along Victoria Rd, up the hill from Nicol St. Our exact position in the parade will be announced closer to the event. As well as walking in the parade, we will have a crew cab truck too.  We can seat 4 other adults comfortably in the cab or you can sit in the box of the truck with the kids (parental consent required)

The service on Sunday June 9th will start at 10:30 to accommodate those who wish to walk in the Pride parade.
